Egress and Easy Clean Window Friction Stay Hinges – High-Security & Easy Maintenance

The ERA Egress Easy Clean friction stays are engineered to provide both egress functionality for emergency escape and an easy-clean feature. The easy-clean mode is activated by fully opening the window, pressing the tab, and sliding the sash, allowing for effortless cleaning. To reset the hinge, simply close the window—no additional actions required.

Crafted from high-grade 430 stainless steel, ERA hinges deliver reliable performance and durability. The pointed sash arm, paired with a nylon end cap, ensures excellent gasket compression and smooth operation. The built-in friction adjustment allows the window to remain securely open in the desired position. Anthracite grey end caps and nylon components give the stay a modern, stylish finish.

For added security, hingeguard plates or dog bolts can be installed. PAS 24 security standards can also be achieved when used alongside an ERA hingeguard, which activates only when the window is under forced attack, preventing the hinge from disengaging.
